I am currently in my 12th year of teaching. During that time, I have worked as both a high school and elementary school media specialist. Currently, I am a preK-5 elementary school media specialist at New Market Elementary School in New Market, Maryland. I was honored to receive National Board Certification as a media specialist in 2008 and am the proud author of Liven Up Your Library! from Upstart Books.
I believe that the library media center should be both a center of learning and fun for students. So, I strive to support the school curriculum while tapping into students' interests and talents to make learning vital and engaging.
