I was born and raised in Detroit, MI and to me that will always be a time for that was extra special and it does hurt me that the city and it's citizens are facing such difficult times right now. What I am most passionate about are opportunities for learning and engagement. Everyone should have the opportunity to pursue their dreams and passions, and when they do, society benefits. I love being a library media specialist and technology consultant, but I am becoming even more creative and branching out in artistic ways that I was first exposed to as a child. I find this very exciting and energizing. I write, scrap book, make gifts, rug hook, draw, paint, make cards, and in the process of learning how to knit. I also love biking, traveling, yoga and being with family and friends.
